A playlist is an ordered list of content scenes that plays on a screen. Each scene is a discrete piece of content — an image, a video clip, a YouTube video, an embedded webpage, and so on — that displays for a set duration before the next scene begins. Playlists loop continuously by default. This page covers how to create a playlist, the scene types available, how to edit an existing playlist, and how to assign a playlist to a screen.
Playlist assignment is done from the Screens page, not from the playlist editor. Create and edit playlists here, then go to Screens to assign a playlist to a specific display.

Creating a playlist

1

Open Playlists

Click Playlists in the sidebar. The Playlists page shows all playlists in your workspace.
2

Click New Playlist

Click the New Playlist button in the top-right corner. The playlist creation editor opens.
3

Name your playlist

Enter a name for your playlist in the name field at the top of the editor. If you leave it blank, the playlist is saved as “New Playlist”.
4

Add scenes

Browse the scene type panel on the left side of the editor. Click or drag a scene type into the playlist area to add it. Configure each scene using the panel that appears.
5

Save the playlist

Click Save to create the playlist. It appears on the Playlists page immediately.

Scene types

Each playlist is made up of one or more scenes. Choose the scene type that matches the content you want to display.
Display a single image from your asset library.
  • Select an image from your workspace asset library, or upload a new image directly from the scene editor.
  • Set how long the image displays (minimum 5 seconds).
  • Choose a fit mode: Contain (letterboxed), Cover (fills the frame, may crop), or Stretch (fills the frame, may distort).
  • Choose an orientation: Landscape or Portrait.

Editing a playlist

Click any playlist card on the Playlists page to open the full-page editor. From there you can:
  • Rename the playlist using the name field at the top.
  • Add scenes by clicking or dragging scene types from the left panel.
  • Reorder scenes by dragging scene cards up or down within the playlist area.
  • Edit a scene by clicking the scene card to open its configuration panel.
  • Remove a scene by clicking the trash icon on the scene card.
  • Adjust duration by changing the seconds value on each scene card directly.
Changes in the editor are saved automatically after a short delay. You do not need to click a separate save button while editing an existing playlist.

Uploading media while editing

You can upload new assets without leaving the playlist editor. When configuring an image or video scene, click the upload option inside the scene panel. The file uploads to your workspace asset library and is selected for the scene immediately.

Loop control

Playlists loop continuously by default — after the last scene plays, playback returns to the first scene. This behavior is always on and cannot be disabled.

Deleting a playlist

On the Playlists page, click the trash icon on any playlist card. A confirmation dialog appears. Click Delete to permanently remove the playlist.
Deleting a playlist removes it from any screen or schedule it was assigned to. The screen will show no content until a new playlist or schedule is assigned.

Assigning a playlist to a screen

Playlist assignment is managed from the Screens page, not from the Playlists page. To assign:
  1. Go to Screens in the sidebar.
  2. Find the screen you want to update and click Assign on its card.
  3. Select the playlist and confirm.
See Screens overview for full instructions.
