A sequence is an ordered group of playlists that plays on a screen one after another, looping back to the start when it reaches the end. Where a playlist contains individual content scenes, a sequence contains complete playlists — making it useful when you want to alternate between different themed blocks of content without managing a single massive playlist. This page explains how to create a sequence, add and manage playlists within it, and assign a sequence to a screen.

Creating a sequence

1

Open Sequences

Click Sequences in the sidebar.
2

Click New Sequence

Click the New Sequence button in the empty state, or click the edit icon in the toolbar if you already have sequences. A dialog opens.
3

Name your sequence

Enter a name for the sequence. Optionally, type a Group name to organize this sequence alongside others in the same group. Click Create a Sequence.
4

Add playlists

With the sequence selected, click Add Playlist. A search dialog opens showing all playlists in your workspace. Select one or more playlists and click Add [n] Playlists.
The sequence begins playing through its playlists in the listed order. A note at the bottom of the playlist list confirms: “Sequence will loop back to the beginning after the last playlist.”

Managing playlists within a sequence

Reordering playlists

Drag any playlist row up or down to change its position in the sequence. The number on the left of each row shows the current play order.

Duplicating a playlist entry

Click the menu on any playlist row and select Duplicate. A copy of that playlist entry is inserted immediately after the original. This is useful when you want a playlist to appear more than once in the rotation without creating a separate sequence entry manually.

Replacing a playlist

Click the menu on any playlist row. Use the playlist selector that appears to swap the entry for a different playlist from your workspace.

Removing a playlist

Click the menu on any playlist row and select Delete. The entry is removed from the sequence. The remaining entries renumber automatically.

Previewing a playlist

Click the menu on any row and select Preview to open a preview modal for that individual playlist. You can also preview the entire sequence by clicking the play icon () in the toolbar.

Grouping sequences

When you create a sequence, you can assign it to a named group. Groups appear as chips next to the sequence name in the selector dropdown and make it easier to find related sequences when you have many. To add a sequence to an existing group, enter that group’s exact name when creating the sequence.

Duplicating and deleting sequences

Use the toolbar icons above the sequence list:
  • Duplicate (⧉) — Creates a copy of the active sequence named “Copy of [name]” with all the same playlist entries.
  • Delete (trash icon) — Permanently removes the active sequence. This cannot be undone.

Assigning a sequence to a screen

Sequence assignment is done from the Screens page, not from the Sequences page. To assign:
  1. Go to Screens in the sidebar.
  2. Find the screen you want to update and click Assign on its card.
  3. Select Sequence as the assignment type, choose your sequence, and confirm.
The screen immediately begins cycling through the sequence’s playlists in order. See Screens overview for full instructions.
